Dear Customer,

In response to Microsoft's decision to end support for the Windows native Mail
application on December 31, 2024, Windows Mail will no longer be able to send or
receive emails. Microsoft has provided a new version, Outlook for Windows
(hereafter referred to as Outlook New), for use.

We have identified that some users may encounter connectivity issues when using Outlook New.
After testing by our team, we offer the following temporary solutions:

1.If you are unable to send, receive, or add email accounts using Outlook New:
o Please click on the "Help" option in the interface.
o Select "Switch back to classic Outlook."
o Continue using the classic Outlook interface.

2.If you are unable to switch back to the classic Outlook interface smoothly:
o We recommend using other free email software (such as Thunderbird) to send and receive emails.
hiBox supports a variety of email software.
o As some connectivity issues are related to the source of Outlook New, the hiBox technical team
will continue to work on resolving them. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and
    appreciate your cooperation!

Dear Customers,

Recently, there are phishing mails sent to our customers which purported to be
from hiBox system administrator. Phishing mails are purposed to lead receivers
to click links or execute attachments in the mail. Typical phishing mails contain
some misleading instructions, such as, asking users to enter account/password in a
fake website for agreement of continuation of usage after system upgrade, asking
users to reset/change password by clicking links in the mail, which is a phishing
site or a fake official website purposed to steal users' account/password, and urging users
to download/execute attachments in the mail, which are infected with malware.

For your information safety, please do not open suspicious mails, and do not click
links or execute attachments within. Moreover, we recommend you to change your password
regularly, verify your email forwarding setting on hiBox Webmail if containing suspicious
addresses, and install an anti-virus software that its virus patterns are up-to-date.

If you receive any unsolicited mails asking for your account/password,
please give a call to 0800-080-365 for further verification.

Dear Valued Customer,

hiBox enables the DKIM email authentication mechanism for
mail accounts with default domain names (hibox.biz, hibox.hinet.net).

In addition, it is open to applying for a trial for customers who use a designated
dedicated domain name and are managed by hiBox for DNS hosting (after the trial,
a setting fee will be charged for agreeing to transfer to a formal lease).

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is the standard email verification method
that includes digital signatures in outgoing mail. When the incoming mail server
receives a message signed as a DKIM, it can verify that the message is indeed
coming from the sender and not the user who is impersonating the sender.
DKIM also checks and confirms that the contents of the email have not been
changed after it has been sent.

Dear Valued Customer,

Recently, users of hiBox in China have been unable to connect and use the problem.
After testing, the service in Taiwan area is used normally, but users in China area
may get the wrong IP due to the interference of the Great Firewall of the China,
resulting in abnormal DNS resolution. Therefore, it cannot connect to the correct
website or service normally.

It is recommended to respond to the local ISP in China for their DNS
resolution abnormalities.

Users who cannot connect normally in China can also temporarily use the following
settings instead:
Webmail: https://www.chthibox.net
pop/imap: pop.chthibox.net
smtp: smtp.chthibox.net
Adminstrator Login: https://apply.chthibox.net/admlogin.php
Quarantine: https://210.71.187.211/

The above will happen once, the first may happen because of the nature of SSL
security's consecutive naming!

The TLS 1.0 encrypted transmission protocol has proven to have loopholes,
which can be exploited by hackers to crack encrypted information.

If your computer's operating system is older than Windows 8 ,

connection to send and receive mail,Because the aforementioned environment

hiBox would like to remind you again of the importance of choosing a strong password to
prevent password hacking. Some hiBox users become the victims of hackers because of using
weak or easy-to-guess passwords. Easily guessed passwords that are too short; too simple;
or that contain common words. A strong password should consist of at least eight characters
that are a combination of letters, numbers and symbols. Strong passwords also do not contain
words that can be found in a dictionary or parts of your email account. We strongly recommend
that you change your password immediately if you have a weak one.

Thank you!
